Lady Hyegyeong

Lady Hyegyeong, also known as Princess Hyegyeong, was a Korean writer and noblewoman who lived during the Joseon Dynasty. She is best known for her memoir, 'The Memoirs of Lady Hyegyeong' (also known as 'The Memoirs of Lady Hong' or 'Hanjoongnok'), which she wrote in 1795. The memoir provides a detailed account of her life, including her marriage to Crown Prince Sado, who was executed by being confined in a rice chest by his father, King Yeongjo. Her writings are considered significant historical documents that offer insight into the royal court life and the political intrigues of her time.
