Jane Duncan

Jane Duncan was the pen name of Scottish author Elizabeth Jane Cameron, born on March 10, 1910, in Renton, West Dunbartonshire. She is best known for her series of semi-autobiographical novels, the 'My Friends' series, which chronicles the life of her alter ego, Janet Sandison. Her writing is noted for its vivid depiction of rural Scottish life, as well as its humor and warmth. Duncan's work fell out of popularity after her death on October 20, 1976, but has since seen a resurgence of interest.
