Shulamith Hareven

Shulamith Hareven (1930–2003) was an Israeli writer, essayist, and translator. She was known for her novels, short stories, and essays on various subjects, including Israeli society and culture. Hareven was a member of the Academy of the Hebrew Language and was the first Israeli woman to be elected to the academy. Her works have been translated into several languages, and she received numerous awards for her literary contributions.
