Martin Gray

Martin Gray (born Mieczysław Grajewski; 27 April 1922 – 25 April 2016) was a Polish-French writer and Holocaust survivor, who is known for his autobiography 'For Those I Loved' (original title: 'Au nom de tous les miens'). In this book, he described his experiences during World War II and the Holocaust, including the loss of his family, and his life afterwards, including the loss of his wife and children in a wildfire at the end of the 1970s. His works reflect on the themes of survival, resilience, and the impact of tragedy on human life.
