Li Hongzhi

Li Hongzhi is the founder of Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, a spiritual practice that combines meditation and qigong exercises with a moral philosophy centered on the tenets of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. He first introduced Falun Gong to the public in Changchun, China, in 1992. The practice quickly grew in popularity throughout China, but it was banned by the Chinese government in 1999. Since then, Li Hongzhi has lived in the United States, and Falun Gong has developed a sizable following internationally. He has written several books on Falun Gong, including 'Zhuan Falun' and 'Falun Gong'.
