Elizabeth Hardwick

Elizabeth Hardwick (1916–2007) was an American literary critic, novelist, and short story writer. She was a co-founder of The New York Review of Books and contributed to numerous other publications. Hardwick was known for her incisive literary criticism and for her fiction that often explored the lives of women, marriage, and social issues. Her notable works include the novel 'Sleepless Nights' and the essay collection 'Seduction and Betrayal', which focuses on women in literature.
