Marieluise Fleißer

Marieluise Fleißer (1901–1974) was a German playwright and novelist. Known for her sharp social critiques, her work often focused on the lives of women and the working class in Germany during the early to mid-20th century. Fleißer's most notable works include the plays 'Pioneers in Ingolstadt' and 'The Strongbox', which depict the struggles of provincial life and the oppression of women.
