Larry Kramer
Larry Kramer was an American playwright, author, film producer, public health advocate, and LGBT rights activist. He was born on June 25, 1935, and passed away on May 27, 2020. Kramer was a prominent figure in the fight against AIDS and is best known for his play 'The Normal Heart' and for founding the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP), a direct action advocacy group helping to bring about legislation, medical research, and treatments, and policies to ultimately bring an end to the disease.
