Jalal al-Din Rumi

Jalal al-Din Rumi, also known as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic. His influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions, and his poems have been widely translated into many of the world's languages. He is best known for his works in Persian literature, particularly the Mathnawi and Divan-e Shams-e Tabrizi, which are considered to be among the greatest poems in the Persian language and Sufi literature.
