Ellen Wood

Ellen Wood (1814–1887), also known as Mrs. Henry Wood, was a popular English novelist during the Victorian era. She is best known for her 1861 novel 'East Lynne,' a sensational and melodramatic tale that was a huge success in the 19th century.
