Frans G. Bengtsson

Frans G. Bengtsson was a Swedish author and poet, best known for his novel 'The Long Ships' (original title: 'Röde Orm'), which is a Viking-era adventure story. Born on October 4, 1894, in Tossjö, Sweden, he was also known for his essays and historical biographies. Bengtsson's writing style is characterized by wit, erudition, and a classical narrative technique. He passed away on December 19, 1954, in Ribbingsfors, Sweden.
