Enrique Krauze

Enrique Krauze is a Mexican historian, essayist, critic, producer, and publisher. Born on September 16, 1947, in Mexico City, he is known for his extensive work on the history and politics of Mexico. Krauze earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a doctorate in history from El Colegio de México. He later became a prominent public intellectual, contributing to various publications and founding the cultural magazine 'Letras Libres.' His works often explore the biographies of Mexican leaders and the country's political and cultural development. Krauze has also produced television documentaries and has been involved in promoting democratic values and liberal politics in Mexico.
