Christopher John Reuel Tolkien

Christopher John Reuel Tolkien was an English editor and academic. He was the son of the author J.R.R. Tolkien, best known for 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' series. Christopher Tolkien was instrumental in editing and publishing much of his father's posthumously published work, including 'The Silmarillion' and 'The History of Middle-earth' series. He was a lecturer in Old and Middle English as well as Old Icelandic at the University of Oxford before focusing on his father's work.
