Donald Ray Pollock

Donald Ray Pollock is an American author known for his works of fiction set in the rural Midwest. He gained recognition with his debut book, 'Knockemstiff,' which is a collection of short stories. Pollock's writing is often characterized by its gritty realism and dark themes. His novel 'The Devil All the Time' has been adapted into a film by the same name. Before becoming a writer, Pollock worked at a paper mill in Ohio and later pursued an MFA in creative writing.
