Ruskin Bond

Ruskin Bond is a renowned Indian author of British descent. He is celebrated for his contributions to children's literature and has written over 500 short stories, essays, novels, and more than 50 books for children. Born on May 19, 1934, in Kasauli, India, Bond's works often reflect his deep connection with nature and life in the hill stations of the Himalayas. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992 for his short story collection 'Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra,' and was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2014 for his contributions to literature.
