Elin Pelin

Elin Pelin, born Dimitar Ivanov Stoyanov (1877–1949), was a Bulgarian author known for his short stories, novels, and plays. He is considered one of Bulgaria's most important literary figures, with his work often focusing on rural life, the beauty of nature, and the customs and spirit of the Bulgarian village. His writing style is marked by realism and deep psychological insight, and he is often referred to as 'the Bulgarian Maupassant'.
