Margaret Craven

Margaret Craven (1901–1980) was an American author best known for her 1967 novel 'I Heard the Owl Call My Name'. The book was a commercial success and was adapted into a television movie in 1973. Craven's work often explored themes of nature, indigenous cultures, and spirituality.
