Ticasuk Brown

Ticasuk Brown (1904–1982), born as Emily Ivanoff Brown, was an Inupiaq educator and author from Alaska. She is known for her contributions to the preservation of her native language and culture, writing educational materials and poetry. Her best-known work is 'Grandma's Alaskan Cookbook,' which includes traditional recipes and family stories. Ticasuk Brown's legacy is celebrated for her efforts in cultural heritage and education.
