Gemma Files is a Canadian horror writer, journalist, and film critic. She is best known for her Hexslinger series, which blends weird western themes with horror and dark fantasy elements. Files has also received acclaim for her short stories and has won the International Horror Guild Award and the Sunburst Award for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic.
