Jean-Marie Chauvet

Jean-Marie Chauvet is a French speleologist and one of the discoverers of the Chauvet Cave in southern France, which contains some of the best-preserved figurative cave paintings in the world. The cave was discovered in 1994 and is significant for its early art, which dates back over 30,000 years.
