Ernest Poole

Ernest Poole was an American novelist and journalist. He is best known for his book 'The Harbor' and for winning the first Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1918 with his novel 'His Family'. Poole's work often addressed social issues and the plight of the working class in the early 20th century.
