Debby Applegate

Debby Applegate is an American author and historian, best known for her biography of the controversial preacher Henry Ward Beecher, 'The Most Famous Man in America,' which won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography in 2007. She has a Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University and her work often focuses on American cultural and religious history.
