Richard Halliburton

Richard Halliburton was an American traveler, adventurer, and author. Born on January 9, 1900, in Brownsville, Tennessee, he became famous for his adventurous spirit and his series of travel books, which chronicled his journeys around the world. Halliburton's works include 'The Royal Road to Romance' and 'The Glorious Adventure'. He was known for his flamboyant style and his ability to bring the excitement of his adventures to readers. Tragically, he disappeared in March 1939 while attempting to sail a Chinese junk, the Sea Dragon, across the Pacific Ocean.
