Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca

Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca was a 16th-century Spanish explorer and writer who is best known for his account of the Narváez expedition's journey through the North American continent. After a shipwreck off the coast of Florida in 1528, he and a handful of survivors made an epic journey on foot across the southern US, reaching the Pacific coast of Mexico in 1536. His narrative, 'La Relación', provides valuable insights into the indigenous peoples and the natural environment of the regions he traversed.
