Ibn Battúta

Ibn Battúta was a Muslim Berber-Moroccan scholar and explorer who widely traveled the medieval world. Over a period of thirty years, Ibn Battúta visited most of the Islamic world as well as many non-Muslim lands. His journeys included trips to North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa, the Middle East, India, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and China. He is considered one of the greatest travelers of all time. His travelogue, the Rihla, provides a detailed account of the cultures, geography, and political systems of the regions he visited, offering valuable historical insights.
