Osa Johnson

Osa Johnson (1894–1953) was an American author, explorer, photographer, filmmaker, and naturalist. Alongside her husband, Martin Johnson, she embarked on several expeditions to Africa and the South Pacific Islands. They captured their adventures through photography and film, and Osa wrote several books about their experiences, including 'I Married Adventure' and 'Four Years in Paradise'. Her work helped to bring the wonders of the natural world and distant cultures to the attention of the American public.
