Tom Patey

Tom Patey (1932-1970) was a renowned Scottish climber, author, and medical doctor. He was known for his climbing achievements in the UK and internationally, including first ascents in Scotland and the Alps. Patey was also a gifted writer, celebrated for his humorous and engaging accounts of climbing adventures, such as those found in his book 'One Man's Mountains.' His life was tragically cut short by a climbing accident in 1970.
