Lawrence A. Cremin

Lawrence A. Cremin (1925–1990) was an influential American historian and educator. He is widely known for his work in the history of education, particularly in the United States. Cremin won the Pulitzer Prize for his book 'American Education: The National Experience, 1783-1876'. His scholarship focused on understanding educational processes in their cultural context and he served as president of Teachers College, Columbia University.
