Howard Pyle

Howard Pyle (1853–1911) was an American illustrator and author, primarily of books for young people. He is known for his engaging and imaginative illustrations and is considered one of the fathers of American illustration. Pyle wrote and illustrated classics such as 'The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood' and 'The Story of King Arthur and His Knights'. He also taught and influenced a generation of American illustrators.
