Eyvind Johnson

Eyvind Johnson (1900–1976) was a Swedish novelist and short story writer. He was one of the leading figures in Swedish literature during the 20th century and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1974 alongside his compatriot Harry Martinson. Johnson's work often reflected his leftist political views and featured a deep exploration of human consciousness and moral philosophy. His narrative style was innovative and sometimes experimental, influencing the development of the Swedish literary modernism.
