Torgny Lindgren

Torgny Lindgren (1938–2017) was a renowned Swedish author known for his distinctive narrative style, often infused with biblical and mythical elements. His work often explores themes of human nature, morality, and the complexities of life in the rural north of Sweden. Some of his notable works include 'Light' and 'Bathsheba'. Lindgren was elected to the Swedish Academy, the body that awards the Nobel Prize in Literature, in 1991.
