Somadeva

Somadeva was a Kashmiri Brahmin and Sanskrit scholar from the 11th century, best known for his work 'Kathasaritsagara' ('Ocean of the Streams of Stories'), a massive compilation of stories and legends. He is believed to have lived during the reign of King Ananta of Kashmir and his work is considered an important text in both literature and folklore, containing a rich tapestry of tales that have influenced many cultures.
