Harry Mulisch

Harry Mulisch was a prominent Dutch author. He was born on July 29, 1927, in Haarlem, Netherlands, and passed away on October 30, 2010. Mulisch is considered one of the 'Great Three' of Dutch post-war literature, along with Willem Frederik Hermans and Gerard Reve. His works explore themes such as the Second World War, the Holocaust, and the nature of reality and existence. His most famous works include 'The Assault' (1982), which was adapted into a film, and 'The Discovery of Heaven' (1992), which is often cited as his masterpiece.
