Agrippa d'Aubigné

Agrippa d'Aubigné (1552–1630) was a French poet, soldier, and Huguenot polemicist. He is best known for his epic poem 'Les Tragiques' which reflects his experiences and the Huguenot struggles during the Wars of Religion in France. D'Aubigné was a staunch defender of the Protestant cause and a close ally of King Henry IV. His works are notable for their rich language and historical importance.
