Eliza Haywood

Eliza Haywood was an English writer, actress and publisher. An important figure in 18th-century literature, she authored over seventy works during her lifetime including novels, plays, and political pamphlets. Haywood is particularly known for her novels which explore themes of love and marriage, often with a strong emphasis on the female perspective and female agency. Her most famous works include 'Fantomina' and 'Love in Excess'.
