Abraham Raimbach

Abraham Raimbach was a Swiss-born engraver who gained prominence in England. He is best known for his engravings of paintings by British artists, particularly those of Sir David Wilkie. Raimbach's works were highly regarded for their technical skill and attention to detail. He was born on February 16, 1776, in Geneva, Switzerland, and moved to London at a young age, where he spent the majority of his career. He was elected an associate of the Royal Academy in 1816 and became a full Academician in 1823. Raimbach died on January 17, 1843, in London.
