Henry Mackenzie

Henry Mackenzie (1745–1831) was a Scottish lawyer and writer, best known for his sentimental novel 'The Man of Feeling' (1771). His work, including essays and other novels, often explored moral and philosophical topics. Mackenzie was also involved in the literary scene of Edinburgh and contributed to the periodical 'The Mirror'. His writing style and themes were influential in the development of Romantic literature in Scotland.
