Noel Streatfeild

Noel Streatfeild was an English author, best known for her children's books including the 'Shoes' series. She was born on December 24, 1895, and passed away on September 11, 1986. Streatfeild's work often featured themes of family life and ambition, with her most famous novel, 'Ballet Shoes' (1936), becoming a classic in children's literature. She was awarded the Carnegie Medal for 'The Circus is Coming' in 1938. Her books have inspired generations of young readers and have been adapted for television and film.
