Jeffrey C. Stewart

Jeffrey C. Stewart is an American author and professor of Black Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is best known for his work on African-American history and culture. Stewart won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Biography for his book 'The New Negro: The Life of Alain Locke,' which explores the life and influence of the philosopher and Harlem Renaissance leader Alain Locke.
