S.S. Van Dine

S.S. Van Dine was the pseudonym used by American art critic and author Willard Huntington Wright (October 15, 1888 – April 11, 1939) to write detective novels. He is most famous for his series of novels featuring the fictional detective Philo Vance, a sleuth and aesthete, which were popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
