William L. Deandrea

William L. Deandrea (1949–1996) was an American author known for his mystery and thriller novels. He won the Edgar Award for Best First Novel in 1980 for his book 'Killed in the Ratings.' His works often featured clever plotting and a mix of humor and intrigue. Deandrea created several detective series, including those featuring detectives Matt Cobb, Clifford Driscoll, and Lobo Blacke. Despite his untimely death at the age of 46, Deandrea left a lasting impact on the mystery genre.
