E. H. Young

E. H. Young was an English novelist, born Emily Hilda Young on March 21, 1880, in Whitley, Northumberland. She was known for her insightful and elegantly written novels that often explored the lives and social dynamics of middle-class English women in the early 20th century. Her works include 'William' (1925) and 'Miss Mole' (1930), the latter of which won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize. Young's novels are characterized by their wit, character development, and keen observations of the subtleties of domestic life. She passed away on August 8, 1949.
